Thick smoke rose near Israel’s Rabin power plant in Hadera following a fresh Iranian missile barrage. Sirens sounded across central Israel, including Tel Aviv, as debris from intercepted rockets fell in dozens of locations. Israeli authorities reported no infrastructure damage from the attack.

A new wave of Iranian missiles struck central Israel on Wednesday, sending plumes of smoke rising near the Rabin power plant in the coastal city of Hadera. Israeli media reported that air raid sirens echoed across the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and other parts of central Israel as air defense systems engaged incoming projectiles. According to Channel 12, launches from Iran were detected three times within half an hour, with debris from intercepted missiles landing in roughly 30 locations across central and northern regions.

Power plant narrowly avoids damage

The Israel Electric Corporation swiftly issued a statement claiming that its infrastructure sustained no damage despite the proximity of the strikes. Earlier reports indicated a fire had broken out in Hadera following the barrage, though emergency services were able to contain the blaze. Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper noted that the latest attack marked another escalation in Iran’s ongoing retaliation campaign.

A conflict with widening consequences

The missile barrage is the latest in a series of Iranian responses to the joint US‑Israeli air offensive launched against Iran on February 28. That campaign has so far claimed over 1,340 lives, including Iran’s then‑supreme leader. Tehran has repeatedly targeted Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting American military assets, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and severe disruptions to global aviation and energy markets.

Türkiye’s steady call for de‑escalation

As cross‑fire between Iran and Israel intensifies, Ankara has continued to advocate for restraint and dialogue. Turkish officials have repeatedly warned that the expanding cycle of strikes and counter‑strikes serves no nation’s interests and risks plunging the entire region into a wider conflagration. Türkiye maintains active diplomatic engagement with all parties, positioning itself as a credible mediator committed to restoring stability and preventing further loss of civilian life.
