Missiles fired from Iran toward Israel are spotted in the skies over the Jerusalem on March 27, 2026. Israel’s air defense system activated and attempted to intercept the missiles.

Twelve Israelis were wounded in the city of Beit Shemesh, located approximately 30 kilometers west of Jerusalem, after Iranian missiles struck the area. Ten homes and dozens of vehicles were damaged in what Israeli media reported as the third and fourth barrages launched from Iran since dawn.

A dozen Israelis sustained injuries Saturday in Beit Shemesh, a city situated roughly 30 kilometers west of Jerusalem, following missile strikes launched from Iran, according to the daily Yedioth Ahronoth. Israeli Channel 12 had earlier reported five wounded based on emergency services data, with the number later rising as more casualties were confirmed.

Significant property damage reported

The attack caused extensive damage to residential areas, with ten homes and dozens of cars destroyed or damaged, Channel 12 reported. Israeli media characterized the strikes as the third and fourth waves of missiles fired from Iran toward Israel since daybreak on Saturday, marking a sustained assault on the country’s central region.

Escalation continues one month into conflict

The strikes are the latest in a series of retaliatory actions by Iran since the US and Israel launched their joint air offensive against Tehran on February 28. That campaign has claimed over 1,340 lives, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Iran has responded with waves of drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US military assets, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation. Türkiye has consistently called for restraint and warned that continued escalation threatens to engulf the entire region in a wider war with devastating consequences.
