Israel continues to kill Palestinian teens in West Bank

Death toll in the occupied Palestinian territory rises to 60 as Israeli forces kill another teenage in the southern West Bank

Israeli occupation forces shot dead a 17-year-old Palestinian boy during clashes in the southern West Bank district of Hebron on Monday evening, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said.

The ministry identified the teen as Iyad Rawhi Jaradat who was shot dead in Beit Einun village during a protest against the recent Israeli killings in the area.

On Sunday, occupation forces shot and killed a 17-year-old Palestinian school girl, Dania Irsheid, as she was returning home with a schoolbag on her back near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Central Hebron.

In both incidents, Israeli police sources claimed the teenagers were shot after police officers allegedly saw knife-like objects in their hands, though the sources did not confirm whether they attempted to attack any security officials.

No Israelis were injured during the incidents.

The teenager's death brings the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip to 60, including 15 children under 18, since the beginning of the month.

Palestinians across Hebron were set to rally on Tuesday in protest against Israel's latest attacks, as the majority of shootings occurred in the city.

Hebron has seen an especially high death toll in recent weeks, with 18 Palestinians, including five children, shot dead by Israeli forces across the district since late September.

Palestinian political factions across Hebron called for a "rally of anger" to march from al-Haras mosque in Hebron's city center to Ibn Rush Square.

Meanwhile, 44 Palestinians were arrested in multiple predawn raids on Tuesday across the West Bank, an Israeli army spokesperson confirmed.

This brings the total number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces this month to 1000.
