Terror group PKK's Syrian affiliates PYD/YPG recruit hundreds of terrorists from Europe, America and Australia, while the US military provides them safety and training in northern Syria
As many as 1,300 foreign terrorists have joined the Kurdistan Workers' Party's (PKK) Syrian affiliate, the People's Protection Unit (YPG) terrorist organization.
Foreign fighters from the United States, Australia, France and other Western countries have been learning Kurdish and taking arms training in YPG camps.
Male fighters who complete one and a half years in the organization are married to female militants in the field. More than 60 foreign militants have found wives in this manner so far.
YPG/PYD-bound foreign fighters continue to join the terrorist group in northern Syria as Westerncountries avert their eyesto PYD-bound foreign terrorist flows, a recent report revealed.
In recent months, hundreds of terrorists from Australia, America, France, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Armenia, Israel, Japan and Korea have joined the group.
The newly joined terrorists are first taken to PYD camps in Qamishli and Kobane for a short training. After a 45-day-long arms training, the foreign nationals are deployed to the battlefield.
In past nine months at least 19 foreign terrorists have been killed while fighting for PYD in northern Syria.
On May 25, Mario Nunes from Portugal and Jamie Bright from Australia were killed by Daesh in Sheddabi.
Nearly 2,000 Turkish nationals have also been trained in PYD camps in Kobani, Tal Abyad and Tel Afrin areas in northern Syria in the past 18 months.
According to local sources, most of them have returned to Turkey while 650 militants are still active in the region.
Iraq and Iran are the two countries supplying the largest numbers of terrorists to PYD, the sources said.
The Syrian regime, Russia and the United States are the major supporters of the PYD terror group that not only support foreign fighters' recruitment but provide security in Qamishli, Kobane and Manbij.
At least 380 US soldiers are protecting the PYD fighters and providing military training including street fighting techniques.
On the other hand, Russian, German and British military trainers are active in Afrin areas to help the terrorists.
The report also revealed that pro-PKK associations and foundations in the European states are the main tools for recruiting the terrorists and sending them to conflict areas.
Most of the foreign fighters travel to Afrin and Al-Hasakah via Beirut, while PYD-bound terrorists use Turkey as alternative route.
Some foreign terrorists travel to Turkey's border cities like Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Hatay and Gaziantep under the guise of being local representatives of international aid organizations. Then they cross the border into Syria with the help of PKK militants.
