The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that 185 servicemen were exchanged with Ukraine in a prisoner swap facilitated by the United Arab Emirates, adding that the released Russian troops are currently receiving medical and psychological assistance in Belarus before their transfer home.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that Moscow and Kyiv had conducted another round of prisoner exchanges, with 185 servicemen returning from each side to their respective countries following successful mediation by the United Arab Emirates. The ministry said in a statement that the swap took place earlier in the day under the supervision of Emirati officials.

Medical Support

The released Russian servicemen are currently in Belarus, "where they are receiving psychological and medical assistance. They will then be transferred to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation," the ministry said. Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova is coordinating with the returnees to ensure their rights are protected during the reintegration process.
