A Ukrainian missile attack on the Russian border settlement of Maslova Pristan has resulted in three fatalities and ten injuries, according to local authorities. The strike damaged residential buildings and a social facility, prompting evacuations and emergency response measures in the Belgorod region near the Ukraine border.

A Ukrainian missile strike targeted the Russian border region of Belgorod on Wednesday, killing three civilians and wounding ten others in the village of Maslova Pristan. The attack represents the latest in a series of cross-border incidents that have escalated tensions between the neighboring nations since the conflict began.

Casualties and Damage Assessment

Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed the casualties and reported that emergency medical teams transported the injured to hospitals in Belgorod city. The missile impact partially destroyed a community social facility and caused significant damage to two apartment buildings, including shattered windows, damaged balconies, and structural harm to rooftops and facades.

Emergency Response and Evacuation

Local authorities have initiated temporary relocation measures for affected residents, moving them to designated accommodation facilities. Gladkov noted that an early missile warning alert likely prevented additional casualties, allowing residents to seek shelter before the strike impacted the settlement located approximately 16 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Regional Security Context

The Belgorod region has experienced repeated cross-border attacks since Russia's military operation in Ukraine began, though Wednesday's casualties mark one of the more significant recent incidents. Ukrainian officials have not provided immediate comment on the specific strike, maintaining their usual protocol of not confirming individual cross-border operations.
