The İmralı committee is expanding. Following Hatip Dicle’s addition to the recent visit, Leyla Zana’s participation in the next visit had become definite. According to the information gathered from the last visit, Öcalan has completed the “peace and resolution draft”. It’s being expected that the draft, which is formed out of four topics, will be discussed and take its final shape on December 14. However, you heard none of these in the recent HDP group meeting. After talking about the shoe box, HDP Co-Chairman Demirtaş had continued to defend his lie that ISIL had attacked YPG (Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units) from the borders of Turkey. Besides, in the evening hours of that exact day, another 150-manned peshmerga group was about to pass the Turkish borders with the approval of Turkey, in order to fight against ISIL. However, Demirtaş didn’t see any harm in restoring to factory settings and continuing the same demagogy. (It seems that he doesn’t even feel an ounce of remorse because of his provocative attitude that paved the way for the October 6-8 Slaughter.)

Associated Press’ Lebanon office was the first to publish the claim in question. Their source wasn’t any of their reporters at the Turkish border; rather it was the tweet of a YPG-sided activist! This claim, which is based on the objective investigative journalism we had missed, was that ISIL had attacked YPG from the Turkish border. It was even said that their bomb-loaded vehicle, which was used in the suicide attack against YPG, had passed through the Turkish border. Official sources had refuted at lightning speed. Thus, it was later revealed that ISIL members had actualized this attack by rambling behind the YPG emplacements. Also, it was later understood that the three people, who had been presented as ISIL members in the images published by websites close to the PKK, were YPG militants. Since the name of the “slander” became a “claim”, this “claim” had faded by itself for all the circles other than the HDP Co-Chairman.

Then, what happened in reality? It’s known to everyone that ISIL desires to capture the Syria side of the Mürşitpınar Border Gate. On that night, the conflicts, which continued until the morning, had spread to the uncontrolled area (no man’s land) between Syria-Turkey. And for about two hours, these conflicts happened close to the Turkish borderline.

While the conflict continued, some ISIL members, who managed to ramble behind the YPG members, had attacked the area, towards the border gate, where the PYD (Syrian Democratic Union Party) emplacements are positioned. As far as I understood from the official sources, the conflict, which had been experienced between the four ISIL members shooting from the back and the YPG members, had taken place for 1 minute 39 seconds at the point closest to the Turkish lands. And following that, the Turkish Armed Forces simultaneously interfered with panzers and repelled the ISIL members towards the uncontrolled area. How do the HDP-PKK sources reflect this?

The TSK panzer had brought the ISIL members! TSK (Turkish Armed Forces) are already operating the engagement rules, which HDP had been talking about for months, against ISIL, however, they are even creating fantastic stories from this.

Moreover, there is also a claim that the ISIL members had used the silos of the Agricultural Products Office. It’s correct that some had taken shelter in the silos due to the conflicts. However, those were not ISIL members, but PYD militants. Two to three ISIL militants, who followed them, came to that point in order to attack. Turkey had already made a calling to the PYD militants, telling them to lay down their arms and pass to Turkey, or if they don’t want to lay down their weapons, then to pass to Kobani. On top of that, as far as we had learnt from Çetiner Çetin’s news (Terror in the uncontrolled area), following the conflicts, 18 people, including peshmerga forces, had passed to Turkey, and received treatment in the Suruç Public Hospital.

You could have explained Kobani, why you cared so much about Kobani, why it’s necessary to care about Kobani, why the border between Suruç-Kobani is meaningless and many other things to the Turkish public… While you were doing this, you could have also received support on a large scale. Thus, you would have added the Kobani sensitivity to your Turkish image in the public opinion’s perception. However, you preferred to roll the matinee soiree “Turkey is supporting ISIL” rhyme. A calumniator can become a politician, however cannot become a peace envoy.
