Pakistan Zindabad: Ertugrul actor commemorates Defense Day, praises Turk-Pak brotherhood

Sharing images of the national flag of Turkey and Pakistan in an Instagram story, Celal Al observed Pakistan's Defense Day
Turkish star Celal Al, who shot to fame with the smash hit historical drama Resurrection: Ertugrul, took to social media to commemorate Pakistan's Defense Day which is celebrated every year on Sept.6.
The actor, who starred as Abdulrahman Alp, in the globally-acclaimed TV show, shared the national flag of Turkey and Pakistan in an Instagram story with the hashtag "#PakistanZindabad".

Al also met with Turkey’s Honorary Consul General of Pakistan in Istanbul on Monday, Murat Tarman, lauding the ties between the two countries.
“Dil Dil Jan Jan Pakistan,” he said in one of his many stories on Instagram, referring to a popular patriotic Pakistani song said to be the country’s second national anthem.

Every year on Sept. 6, Pakistan marks National Defense Day to commemorate the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending its eastern borders against India in a 1965 war.
Often described as the Turkish Game of Thrones, the series is woven around 13th century Anatolia and tells the story prior to the establishment of the Ottoman Empire. It illustrates the struggle of Ertugrul Gazi, father of the empire's founder.
The series illustrates the struggle of Ertuğrul and his warriors against a plethora of adversaries from the Knights Templar to Mongol invaders.
