Rising concerns over Türkiye's missile advancements prompt Greek media to emphasize the urgency for a measured response from the government to uphold regional stability.

Amid escalating concerns over Türkiye's significant strides in missile capabilities, the Greek media has intensified scrutiny of the situation, triggering growing concerns within the country. A Greek newspaper, Pentapostagma, has shed light on Türkiye's robust defense industry, specifically highlighting the Cyclone, Lightning, Bora, and Typhoon missile systems.

Türkiye's missile systems exhibit varying operational ranges, with Cyclone covering 100 kilometers, Lightning extending to 150 kilometers, Bora reaching an impressive 300 kilometers, and Typhoon's formidable reach reaching an astonishing 1000 kilometers. Such advancements have prompted anxieties that all Greek islands could now be within striking distance, posing a potential threat to the Aegean region's stability.

Of further concern, Türkiye's possession of the KC135 air tanker, providing their Air Force with in-flight refueling capabilities, has added to the unease among Greek media. This additional aerial prowess has amplified the call for urgent action by the Greek government to address the evolving security landscape.

Pentapostagma has strongly emphasized the necessity for the Greek government to implement strategic measures in defense. Suggested actions include strategic deployment of Greek attack helicopters and naval assets, such as a frigate and submarine, at the Cyprus naval base to safeguard the island during unforeseen circumstances. Pentapostagma also claimed that the return of a Greek Division to a location near Nicosia after 53 years would "definitely create intense concern" in Ankara.
