Five major defense contractors from Türkiye — Aselsan, Turkish Aerospace Industries, Arca Defense, Roketsan and MKE — have secured positions on this year's Defense News Top 100 list, collectively generating $14.9 billion in defense revenue and reflecting the sector's expanding global footprint.
Global rankings and revenue
The five companies generated a combined $14.9 billion in defense revenue, with Aselsan ranking highest at 40th position, followed by Turkish Aerospace Industries at 48th and Arca Defense at 53rd. Roketsan placed 64th on the annual list, while Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) entered the ranking at 81st.
Integration with SAHA Istanbul
Executives from all five contractors simultaneously hold positions on the board of SAHA Istanbul, Europe's largest industrial cluster, enabling closer coordination with more than 1,300 small- and medium-sized enterprises. The production capacity of these SMEs provides larger defense companies with flexible supply chains and helps shorten delivery times, strengthening the global competitiveness of Türkiye's defense industry.
Export growth via SAHA Expo
The SAHA Expo has emerged as a critical platform for showcasing Türkiye's defense capabilities internationally, helping facilitate export contracts worth approximately $4.5 billion in 2024 and $8 billion in 2026. This export-driven growth has supported the international expansion of the major contractors while driving the sector's climbing position in global defense markets.
