Nearly 25,000 loggerhead hatchlings reach sea from Türkiye coast
Conservation teams have recorded nearly 25,000 endangered loggerhead turtle hatchlings making their way into the Mediterranean this season along Türkiye’s Antalya coast. Volunteers are monitoring roughly 4,500 nests across 65 kilometers of shoreline, while efforts continue to protect nesting sites from fires, unauthorized digging and other human-related threats.
