Russia offers to help mediate between India and Pakistan

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov

Russia is prepared to offer India and Pakistan a platform to talk after tensions between the two nuclear powers flared, Russian news agencies cited Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying on Thursday.

"If they want this, then of course," Lavrov was quoted as saying.
