Details of the Incident
A witness told KOMO News they heard "seven or eight shots" near the center's fountain. Emergency responders confirmed the two fatalities, with the injured including three women aged 39, 40 and 56, a 23-year-old man and the child. One woman remains in serious condition, while others were hospitalised in stable condition.
Investigation Underway
Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson confirmed one suspect had been taken into custody. The Seattle Police Department said officers were investigating a shooting involving "multiple victims" and urged the public to avoid the area.
