Turkish President rebukes Egypt over ''execution''
Turkish President Abdullah Gül slammed the Egyptian court over its execution ruling, saying ''it is impossible to approve a verdict issued by political courts in the era in which the democracy has been suspended''.
''I see this ruling as an enormity for the future of Egypt. I hope the defendants will be freed and the sentence will not be executed to pave for independent elections and democracy,'' said in a joint news conference with his German counterpart Gauck who is on official visit in Ankara.
The visiting President Joachim Gaukc told on his part that Germany had serious concerns about the Egyptian court''s decision.
''A superior judgment should be adopted during the transition period of democracy rather than understanding of revenge. There must be efforts to adopt a judgment which could be find reasonable,'' he said.
