Turkey's Presidential Spokesman says terrorist organization has shown ugly face in Dürümlü massacre, which killed 16 people in Diyarbakır's Sur town
Turkey's Presidential Spokesman İbrahim Kalın has said that Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) terrorist organization has shown its ugly face in the Dürümlü massacre, which killed 16 people and wounded 23 in Sur town of Diyarbakır.
"This massacre shows an exemplary situation in which some parties don't utter a word while Turkey has been making every effort against terrorism. We are also doing the most against Daesh by neutralizing 1,300 terrorists by hitting around 3,000 targets," said Kalın during the press conference.
Turkish Presidential Spokesman also recalled Turkey's insistence that a common history commission be established for the coming voting in German Bundestag on so-called 'Armenian Genocide' claims.
"Turkey has done things that no others have. The archives could have revealed the truth and disabled this political abuse caused by the discussion without any tangible proof," he added.
Kalın also said that Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will pay a farewell visit to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"The details of the reassignment will be clear after this meeting," Kalın said.
Kalın who also touched upon the vote for parliamentary immunity to be lifted, adding the parliament will make the final decision on this issue.
Kalın dismissed criticism of Turkish Army General Hulusi Akar's attendance of Sümeyye Erdoğan's wedding.
"There was no music or merrymaking. The ceremony was considerably plain. These kinds of discussions are embarrassing," he said.
