Police: Suspected PKK suicide bomber caught in SE Turkey

Counter-terror police forces in southeastern province of Van have seized a PKK terrorist believed to be a suicide bomber.

Poice forces acted on an intelligence report which warned of armed terrorists travelling to central Van by car. At the end of a chase, the suspected suicide bomber was caught in Beşyol Square, the location of the provincial governor's office.

Police found a gun and a grenade on the terrorist, who is in custody. Police said the suspected bomber may have travelled to Turkey from a PKK base on Qandil Mountain, in northern Iraq.
