Turkish war planes destroy PKK targets in Turkey, Northern Iraq

Turkish military said a plenty number of terrorist targets were destroyed in a series of air strikes, carried out on Friday.

“Military aircrafts, including F-16 and F-4 2020 jet fighters, launched 11 raids against PKK targets, which were identified both inside Turkey and in northern Iraq," the General Staff said on its official site.

The raids against PKK targets were carried out in Dağlıca, Çukurca towns in Hakkari as well ad Zap, Hakurk, Basyan, Avashin, Haftanin and Qandil in northern Iraq," the statement said.

98 previously-identified targets including shelters, bunkers and ammunition depots were successfully destroyed before the planes returned to their bases.

Turkey conducted strikes on the separatist group's bases on both sides of the Iraq-Turkey border.
