Libya’s Government of National Unity Deputy Minister of Defense, Major General Abdussalam Zubi, paid a courtesy visit to the Albayrak Group as part of his official visit to Türkiye.

During the visit, potential areas of bilateral cooperation between Türkiye and Libya, as well as investment opportunities in Libya, were discussed. Zubi stated that they closely follow Albayrak Group’s investments across Africa and invited the group to undertake similar investments in Libya.

The meeting was attended by Albayrak Group Chairman Ahmet Albayrak, Vice Chairman Nuri Albayrak, and Board Member Faruk Albayrak. Representatives of Akad Company—Celal Naz, Abdurrahman Kılıç, and Ercan Üner—were also among the participants.

Abdussalam Zubi also visited Albayrak Media, where he showed interest in media activities. He received information from Yeni Şafak International News Director Omer Kablan regarding the organisation’s media platforms and congratulated the team on their work in the media sector.

As part of his Türkiye visit, Zubi also held separate meetings with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, and Chief of the General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu.
