A Turkish naval frigate has conducted a three-day training program for cadets from the Libyan Naval Academy in the coastal city of Al Khums. The exercise included practical seamanship drills and culminated in a certification ceremony.

The Turkish Navy has conducted specialized training for Libyan naval cadets as part of the ongoing defense cooperation between the two nations. The frigate TCG Orucreis, operating with the Turkish Maritime Task Group, hosted the joint program in the Libyan coastal city of Al Khums from December 4-6, according to a statement from Türkiye's National Defense Ministry.

The training, coordinated by the Joint Training Center Command, included both port-based instruction and at-sea drills. The curriculum was designed to enhance the practical seamanship and operational capabilities of the Libyan cadets, providing them with hands-on experience aboard an active warship. Ceremony marks completion of joint exercise

Upon completion of the three-day program, a formal ceremony was held to present certificates to the participating Libyan students, recognizing their successful engagement in the training.
