Türkiye backs peace, ceasefire, and aid for Sudan, Erdogan says

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to peace and stability in Sudan during high-level talks with the country's Sovereignty Council Chairman, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, in Ankara. President Erdogan warned that the ongoing fighting has precipitated "one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises," with acts amounting to crimes against humanity, particularly in the El Fasher region. He called for "serious and determined steps" to stop the violence and stated that Türkiye would continue to meet the urgent needs of the Sudanese people through sustained humanitarian aid deliveries.
