Pakistani fans go gaga as Ertugrul star Engin Altan crowned ‘best actor’ in UK

The lead actor of the globally acclaimed Turkish TV series “Resurrection: Ertugrul,” Engin Altan Düzyatan, was honored with the “best actor” award by British magazine SleekAsian as loyal fans in the country rejoiced.
Pakistani fans of the dreamboat Düzyatan, who has a serious following, especially in Middle Eastern and Asian countries, held an honorary dinner for the famous ghazi at the Royal Regency headquarters in London’s Stratford district.
Qurban Hussain and Wajid Khan from the British Parliament's House of Lords, the opposition Labor Party's Imran Hussain, former member of the European Parliament Sajjad Karim and Turkiye's Consul General in London Bekir Utku Atahan also attended the dinner.

"I am very happy to be here. Thank you very much for organizing such an event and inviting me," the famous actor said, conveying his heartfelt greetings to the audience who showered him with attention throughout the event.
The producer of the series, Kemal Tekden, was awarded the "best producer" award, while RGB production, owned by producer Umit Sonmez, was given the "organization" award.
Often described as the Turkish Game of Thrones, the series is woven around 13th century Anatolia and tells the story prior to the establishment of the Ottoman Empire. It illustrates the struggle of Ertugrul Gazi, father of the empire's founder.
The series illustrates the struggle of Ertuğrul and his warriors against a plethora of adversaries from the Knights Templar to Mongol invaders.
